Ahhh, transitional seasons. We’re still having plenty of warm days, but since we’re well into September now, I’m happily wearing my Lysse faux leather pants on the regular again. I snuck them into a few summer outfits, but always felt like I was pushing the envelope a bit. No envelope-pushing now, though. It’s been more than a year since I intentionally changed my style direction, but there are still plenty of days when I look in the mirror and feel like I’m not quite crafting the looks I really want to be wearing. Which is partially because my tastes often veer away from more mainstream badassery and off toward Post-apocalyptic Art Gallery Owner territory, partially because I’m a curvy girl with big hips who doesn’t look like Lou Dillon in a moto or slouchy jeans, and partially because it just takes a while to change your look.
