*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Sarah requested a few picks for budget-friendly statement jewelry, so here we go:
Rock & Republic Tri Tone Bead Swag Necklace – was $44, now $30.80
I wasn’t aware, but apparently Rock & Republic collaborated with the folks over at Kohl’s! This rocker-reminiscent piece includes skulls, chains, and spikes. Pair it with a moto jacket, jeans, and heels for a dressed-up tough look, or add it to a simple dress to create a fun juxtaposition. This is a 17.5″ necklace with 3.5″ extender chain.
Style Tryst Drape Earrings – was $28, now $19
These earrings combine two of my favorite jewelry features: Mixed metals for versatility, and chains for toughness. They’re 2.5″ inches long, but considering their construction they should be lightweight. These would look amazing peeking out from long hair worn down, or dangling free with an updo or short locks.
Hammered Statement Necklace – was $49.99, now $24.99
If you prefer something a little more modern than rocker, this triangle-shaped bib necklace is a great bet. I’m constantly on the hunt for necklaces in this shape because they fill v-necklines, blazer lapel openings, and button-front shirts perfectly. This one is 18″ long.
J.Crew Factory stretch large crystal bracelet – was $32.50, now $24.50
I wear my J.Crew rhinestone bracelet constantly, and just tracked down a few similar styles on eBay to have more options. A statement piece like this can turn out to be incredibly versatile. I’m a big fan of stretch bracelets because they conform to your wrist and don’t bang against a desk or keyboard as much as bangles may do.
Tall Blue Oval Stone Ring – was $27.95, now $22.36
With code 20NOW
This is a truly massive, eye-catching ring at 2.25″ tall. Many cocktail rings are sparkly and flashy, which can be such fun, but I love the subdued, minimalist feel of this chunky piece. This is an adjustable size ring.
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for budget-friendly statement jewelry:
- BaubleBar – Loads of cute, on-trend pieces most of which fall under the $50 mark. Their current collaboration with Nina Garcia includes some chunky-yet-minimalist pieces.
- Etsy – This is where I send most of my consult clients for statement pieces. It’s a bit of a rabbit hole to fall down, but everything from wood to resin to precious metals and gems can be found in abundance and for amazing prices.
- Kohl’s – A few pieces look chintzy, but the vast majority are fabulously on-trend and super affordable.
- And, of course, THRIFT STORES! Always peek at the jewelry section at your local thrift emporium. You never know what kind of fun, bold, outrageous items you might find. (thethriftshopper.com can help you locate stores near you.)
