Already Pretty outfit featuring J.Jill red sweaterdress, Missoni scarf, Jessica Simpson Angie boots, hammered silver disc earrings, burgundy tights

Scarf, Missoni via HauteLook
Sweater dress, courtesy J.Jill – runs large, I am a size 8 and this is a small
Tights, Target
Boots, Jessica Simpson Angie – a few pairs on eBay
Earrings, gift – similar
Bag, Foley + Corinna Mid City Tote via eBay

Yep, those are tights. It didn’t get much above 30 degrees today, so I finally succumbed. I guess that marvelous autumn I was talking about earlier this week has finally ended.

I’ve been snapping up as many burgundy pieces as I can, since I’m seeing it everywhere this season and loving it as a near-neutral. I nabbed these tights last week and already have a dozen outfit ideas built around them.

Okay between your Frye boots and F&C Mid City Tote collection I’m having serious Sal-envy.

Emma, keep an eye on eBay! There are some great deals on Mid City Totes. I paid $99 for this one.

The colors here are just so gorgeous. Totally holiday party worthy, and my favorite kind of holiday outfit–it doesn’t hit you over the head! Pinning it for inspiration next month. Thanks!

I LOVE my burgundy tights. Sadly though, I wore them with a sequined dress and the sequins did all kinds of bad things to them. Still on the prowl for another pair.

I usually hate boots with skirts or dresses, but I think the contrast of the tights really makes it look better. Maybe I can start trying it too now! 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration.

I think you look fantastic. This year I’ve been trying to infuse burgundy all year round and in unexpected ways with cardigans, shoes, or belts. Perhaps my coloring, dark hair, eyes, olive skin, sits well because burgundy day is compliment day! My newest adventure is with teal accents and burgundy accent. So unexpected and complimentary with gold accessories and a patterned scarf.
