This Karen Kane dress has been on the chopping block several times, but I’m so glad I ended up keeping it. It’s such an easy, throw-on piece and instantly interesting with its modernized, black-and-white tie dye. Plus it’s got enough white to look summery at the end of August, but can be darkened for winter wear, too. read more

One of the few items I regret purging? My leather midi skirt. I missed it almost as soon as summer rolled around … though, between you and me, it never quite zipped up all the way. This new-to-me DKNY leather skirt is about a thousand times softer and zips up properly. So perhaps I’ve just traded up. read more

It was art fair weekend this past weekend in Minneapolis, with Uptown and Powderhorn in full effect. So I finally busted out the true summer clothes – tanks, floaty skirts, and sandals – for the requisite hours of slow walking.
