*In this new late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Jen requested a few picks for cowboy boots, so here we go:
Ariat Show Stopper – was $200, now $159.99
Slightly taller than many cowboy boots, this style has a 14.5″ tall shaft. If you dislike mid-calf boots but love the cowboy style, these could be a great option! I’ll admit that I don’t own any Ariats myself, but have heard nothing but good things about this company that specializes in equestrian footwear. Also, that embroidery? Ach. Gorgeous. Somehow both Western and a bit punk all at once.
Volatile Denver – was $99, now $55.99 – $65.99
I’m a huge fan of rounded toes, and love finding cowboy style boots with this comfy toebox style. These gorgeously tooled boots have a higher heel, but chunky and stable for walking. They’re a vegan choice, affordable, and super stylish.
Frye Harness 12R – was $248, now $169 – $228
You saw that coming, didn’t ya? These boots aren’t a traditional pointy-toe, embellished style, but still say “cowgirl” to me. And, as I’ve mentioned about 12 billion times, they are comfy as slippers, versatile, and beautifully made. Several of the distressed styles – which I recommend both for winter wear and because they’re softer and pre-broken-in – are on sale now. This is a shorter, mid-calf style on most figures.
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for great cowboy boots:
- Zappos – The obvious choice, of course, but with good reason.
- Target – This pair is only $29.99 at full-price, and vegan!
- Shepler’s – If you’re going authentic, try this retailer. Justin, Roper, Dan Post, Ariat, Old Gringo, Luchesse, Tony Lama, and ALL the classic cowboy boot brands are represented.
- And, of course, THRIFT STORES! You’d be amazed by how many pairs of cowboy boots show up at thrift stores. In fact, I’d wager they’re the most-donated style of boot. (thethriftshopper.com can help you locate stores near you.)
