Zoya may not be that easy to find, but it’s a chemical-free line of polishes that wear well. (A spa or salon that features organic products may be your best bet.) Diana and Carmen are two classic Zoya reds that are great for pedicures.

I can also recommend Dr.’s Remedy nail polish, developed by podiatrists and containing tea tree oil. I’m now wearing their sheer pink on my fingernails–it’s been on almost a week and hasn’t yellowed or turned opaque (always problems for me with sheer manicures).

I’ve heard GREAT things about Zoya, but am yet to give it a whirl!

I’ve never found anything that will stay on my fingernails more than 24 hours so I don’t bother anymore, but for toes I love NYC- super cheap and lasts forever.

Heather, do you have chipping on your fingernails or something else? Sounds like you’ve tried everything from cheap to spendy, right? How about gel manicures?

I’ve never tried gel manicures as I’m scared of the UV they use to cure it- I’ve heard about some at home versions but I think you still have to use the UV.

Heather, there’s a home gel set called Sensationail that uses LED instead of UV. It’s sold online, as well as Walmart and CVS (though I’ve only had luck finding it at Walmart). The starter kit is about $50, and each individual polish is about $10. I’ve had good luck with it, have been using it for about 4 months. Hope that helps!

I absolutely love the nail products from Julep.
