Personal closet consultations are fun and rewarding in and of themselves, of course, but they also afford me the opportunity to trot out some of my fancier duds. I wore this to meet with a new client as we pored over her wardrobe and hatched plans to revitalize it.

The top was one of my purchases from our recent visit with Audi in San Francisco. It’s by an independent designer and is such a fun garment. The vertical striped piece on the side is actually a flap or sorts – kind of an attached scarf – and I’m excited to try tying and draping it in other ways!

Oh my goodness. That top is gorgeous. What an awesome find. Eager to see it in other iterations here in the future!

You look amazing, Sal! This is one of my favorite Sal ensembles ever!

Can’t help wondering who the designer of the top might be . . . the whole ensemble is charming.

It’s totally a striped kind of day! Megan and Keely are doing Stripes Week and just in general I have seen a lot o’ stripes today–myself included–and it makes me so very happy! Great top!

OMG, DYING. I just looked through the collections on the Gr.Dano website, and their work is BRILLIANT. Beautiful draping, and I love how they play with angles, textures, proportions… wow. The top you got is top-notch, well done! Is there any way to buy their stuff that doesn’t involve a trip to SF?

No stockists in MN, but if you e-mail them maybe they’ll place and order for ya. Worth a shot!

I’m so glad you got that top! It looks even better all put together in an outfit.

Whoa, that top is fantastic! I went to Gr. Dano’s website to see if it’s still around, but realized from the look of things that I probably couldn’t afford it anyway! 🙂
