Dressed for: Adjustment

Already Pretty outfit featuring gudrun sjoden tunic, gray leggings, gray suede Tsubo boots, long pendant necklace

Tunic – courtesy Gudrun Sjödén (no longer available) – same style in solids
Leggings – Target (no longer available) – similar
Boots – Tsubo Faline
Necklace – self-made – similar look
Earrings – Hilary Druxman via MIA gift shop
Bracelets – Goldy + Mac – similar

I love this tunic so hard with its quirky print and darling a-line shape … but the pockets never quite sat right. So, much as it pained me to de-pocket ANYTHING, I sewed them shut and now when I wear the tunic I look a lot less like I’m smuggling baby bunnies at my hips. I think it’ll get loads more wear now post-pocket-adjustment.

Made any tweaks to your wardrobe items lately? Anything in the mending pile that needs a change to make it more wearable?

I’ve been sewing slant pockets on pants closed, particularly if the pants sit lower in the waist. I look better without anything in those pockets and even if they’re empty they gap a little.

What a perfect outfit for early spring, and so flattering on you. I love the colors, the print, and the overall look – you nailed it!

yeah the Pocket Conundrum. Hate that. But the tunic is super cute and really looks wonderful on you. I like the quirky, retro print.

I do tend to sew pants pockets closed. Especially the back half-pockets.

Smuggling baby bunnies? Perfect! I joke that I’m going to smuggle cats in my shirts.

Spot on . I just shortened 5 cardigans and are now nicely sitting just a bit lower my natural waist! Your dress has nice muted colors.

Love it! But I would really, really, love it if you were smuggling baby bunnies. You would brighten so many days! “You look sad, here (whips out bunny), pet a baby bunny!”

I love the Gudrun tunics, dresses and skirts but I’m so used to thrift shop prices these scare me a little.

I’m a big fan of tunics and leggings – so comfortable! I haven’t made any adjustments to clothing in a long time, except for cutting leggings to make them into shorts

I had a similar “aha” mending moment with a roll-tab sleeve shirt that had awkwardly long button tabs. After some quick work with the seam ripper, they’re roll-tab no more and I love it!
