I’ve been on the lookout for an olive green shirtdress for ages and finally realized that the reason I couldn’t find one was that my personal definition of “olive green” is skewed. The dress I’m wearing today is the color I wanted, but olive is actually far browner. At least, according to most manufacturers.

In any event, this frock was so precisely what I’d been picturing in my head that I paid the full, shocking, Anthro-ridiculous price for it. Which means I’ll make it a wardrobe staple, by gum, or die trying.

I had to run back to June Resale this morning to drop off the goodies from this weekend’s photo shoot – more on that soon – and chatted with the lovely owner about a possible collaboration. Stay tuned for details!

Love the color, and it fits you perfectly! It was totally worth the price. ๐Ÿ™‚

By the way, I just clicked on the link to June Resale, and I’m very upset I don’t live anywhere close to that place. I mean Christian Louboutin heels in fuschia glitter in my size? Are you kidding! I bet they cost a fortune (a real fortune), but still! It’d be nice to try them on. ๐Ÿ™‚

Come visit me, Margarita, and we’ll make a trip down to June! I bet those Loubs are more affordable than you’d imagine. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I like that green (not sure what to call it). That dress needs to get in my closet, but I can never justify full priced Anthro to myself.

These colors are beautiful together! That dress is incredible. Hopefully it will last a long time to make up for the price.

That dress is just lovely! I found my perfect 3/4 sleeve olive shirt dress not too long ago. By pure accident. I love the full skirt on yours. Wish I had a June Resale close – that place looks amazing.

This is exactly the kind of look I would love to incorporate into my wardrobe someday. Ladylike, pretty greens and blues. Thanks for sharing

*Love* the colour combo! Reminds me of a violet – a purple flower in a clump of green leaves. ๐Ÿ™‚

Gorgeous. Those are just the two best colors for the summer-fall transition. It’s also a smashing outfit. Classic shape to the dress, but updated with the little sweater.

I bought this dress from anthro as well; from the moment it went up I fell madly in love! My fiance says it looks like army green, but he’s colorblind so what does he know! It’s an amazing wardrobe staple. I’ve been pairing it with lots of differently colored skinny belts and colored tights.

The color of that dress is gorgeous, and the shape is so pretty and classic! I think you’ll have no trouble finding tons of ways to wear it into stapledom. I love the bright purple you paired it with today!

I’d call that olive green too! I love the way you’ve styled it, olive green and purple is hands down my favorite color combination. I wish I had the money to buy that dress, it really is absolutely perfect! Maybe if I’m lucky it will show up on ebay. ๐Ÿ™‚

Wow! Can’t believe I’m wearing the same thing as Sally today! I feel so validated!. I’m wearing the green version of her purple B.R. cardigan. Great little layering piece, and I got it on sale – just wish they had it in black as well as purple, green, and yellow.

Oooh, love that dress! I love green too but don’t have as much in my wardrobe as I would like right now. I can see that being an almost year round dress – at least here in Alabama. Will be wonderful with some cute tights and boots this winter!

Faaaaantastic, Sal! I agree that a vibrant, saturated olive is the way to go; it feels way less like a neutral and more like a fun color in its own right. (And is gorgeous paired with the purple-y blue-y whatever-color-that-is there.)
