Daily Outfit: 5/11/10

Gray shirt dress, Land’s End
Scarf as belt, thrifted
Pink pumps, Nine West
Pink jade earrings, LunaOwlDesigns

I had to run a PowerPoint at a Meeting of Bigwigs this morning, so I went for something in the “ladylike conservative” realm. Hopefully, I pulled it off. No one threw tomatoes, so I think I’m golden.

And just in case you’re wondering, yes, I went back for this dress in several other colors. I ADORE it!

If you have to do ladylike conservative, you could do a lot worse than this dress. It's very cute–kind of a 50s vibe, like Donna Reed would have worn one like it–with that same air of clean confidence and capability.

That dress has so many possibilities; what a find! And your hair looks particularly ravishing lately, Sal. I'm just getting back to commenting after the move chaos but I've noticed in several of your recent outfit posts that your hair looks extra shiny and healthy.

can't believe that dress is from lands end (actually, i can, i love lands end)–it's totally fabulous!

lisa: It looks to be sold out in everything but black, though they do restock. I nabbed it in red, gray, khaki, and black. I WISH I'd bought it last season when they had it in a gorgeous midnight blue …

It's a great dress. And it looks beautiful with those pink pumps. I think you nailed ladylike conservative. ;]

New reader here: really enjoying your blog! I'm intrigued by your tattoo, it looks so interesting… do you have a post where you show us all, or do you just tease us with that bit of ankle? 😉

Also, I do not DO pink, but I am seriously lusting after those shoes.

Very cute dress and it's a great color for you I think. To me it's more classic than conservative and, ahem, sexy!

And I can totally see why – that cut is FABULOUS! P.S. Khaki and pink? Ooh, WEE! Who would've thought that two such colours could look so abysmally brilliant together? I love it!
