Daily Outfit: 11/29/11

Orange cardigan, Banana Republic (no longer available) – similar (incredibly)
Dress, Karina
Black opaque tights, Commando courtesy Peek Brooklyn (giveaway forthcoming)
Boots, Alice + Olivia for Payless (no longer available) – similar
Wrap bracelets, Quince – similar
Earrings, courtesy Bionic Unicorn
Bag – Tom Thomas

I figured I’d better trot out my old messenger bag since it got a shout-out in today’s post! (You can get a better view here, still sussing out how to do detail shots on my own.) This bag is a monster, but totally gorgeous and always draws compliments. Today was no exception.

Orange isn’t a dominant color in this comfy Karina dress, but it’s scattered in among the other brights in the vibrant floral so I paired it with my trusty orange waterfall cardigan. The sweater can swamp me at times, but the dress is so fitted and flattering that they balanced each other beautifully.

One of my favorites among your recent outfit posts! I love floral dresses and ones with black are perfect with tights for winter.

    Hey Sal,

I’ve been reading your blog for about a year now, and I really really enjoy your pro-women, down to earth love of style! I wanted to let you know that your consistent bootie-wearing has just led me to purchase my first pair: these Kork Ease booties (http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/kork-ease-zowie-boot-nordstrom-exclusive/3181462). Was always convinced that I couldn’t wear ankle boots as a 5.3″ pear shaped gal, but here’s to sartorial risks!

Thanks again for publishing this awesome blog.

I’ve been a long time stalker of the blog, but this is my first time commenting… I just couldn’t resist saying how wonderful you look! That dress is beautiful and the styling you’ve added to it really works. Thanks for all your great posts and outfit inspirations!
