These Kickers Lilou sandals are a hoot. Iridescent red gladiators with dangly bits. Not exactly my most versatile summer shoes! But since they were a generous gift from the Kickers folks, I am more than happy to see how many funky boho outfits I can craft around them this summer. I’ve got a few maxi dresses that could benefit from an eye-catching pair of sandals …

I’ll admit it: These were an impulse buy. I had some Ideeli credits burning a hole in my pocket, have been curious about the Bronx brand for some time, and was so smitten with that chunky heel that I clicked “buy” without giving it tons of thought. Luckily they are comfortable, sassy, and totally unlike any other pairs I own. I’m yet to post any outfits that feature these lovelies, but I will soon.

This pair of Deborah sandals was a gift from the lovely folks at Stella Says Go. They have so many fabulous pairs and this might seem like a pretty tame choice. But I’d been lusting after the Kork-Ease Deborahs for several years already, and have surprisingly few practical, walkable pairs of black sandals. Oh, I’ve got sky-high sandal heels and crazy platforms, but these fill an unexpected gap!

That’s right, I said faux fur-lined SANDALS. These shoes were nabbed from Fab.com with some accumulated credits, and I will admit that I didn’t read the product description all that carefully. I loved the shape, the chunky heel, the pale lavender suede … and the fact that I could get ‘em for free. It’s been too cool for sandals thus far, and I do wonder if faux fur is going to be clammy and awful in the dead of summer … but lemme tell ya, these babies are COMFY. I’ll keep you posted on the warmth factor.

These lovely pumps were a gift from the folks at Ideeli, and they are probably my prettiest shoes. They are also unlikely to be worn on a day when I have to do more than five minutes of walking at a stretch, as that heel is both high and narrow and I just don’t have any stiletto skills.
What are your highest heels? Anyone out there a master of the super-high heel?

These glorious sandals were a purchase from my March San Francisco trip. They’re made by a company called Antelope
, and I own a gorgeous pair of boots from the same brand that has served me well. I could be wrong, but I feel like these edgy-yet-sturdy sandals could become a summer staple. Let’s see, shall we?

Hahahaha. Wow. These sandals look completely awful in these photos! Like a loaf of Wonder Bread that’s been sat upon.
Believe me, they are ADORABLE on my actual feet. I snagged these at a Mighty Swell sale last fall and have been dying to wear them ever since. Soon it’ll be warm enough … and you’ll view them un-squashed.

As I’ve mentioned before, I haven’t had loads of luck thrifting shoes. These little flats just might represent my greatest shoe-thrifting triumph to date. They’re comfy as heck, good quality leather, and that magenta is one of my all-time favorite shades. (They’re magenta. Honest. Something about my dining room just monkeys with anything pinkish!)
