*In this late-night feature – which will run on Tuesday and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Raven1025 requested a few picks for tulle skirts, so here we go:
Free People Solid Tutu Skirt – was $98, now $79.99
It’s a bit hard to tell from this image, but this skirt appears to have a fairly short, mini-skirt-length lining and then loads of sheer layers piled on top. So although it looks maxi-like, it will have gorgeous movement when you walk! If the ballet pink doesn’t appeal, it also comes in olive green and black. Available in sizes XS – L. Size availability varies by color. (Kiyonna has tulle skirts in black and burgundy in sizes 0X – 5X.)
Urban Renewal Tulle Midi Skirt – was $69, now $49.99
This is a more typical tulle option that is both stiffer (made from vintage and deadstock) and sheer. You’ll need to supply your own slip! But it also has a more traditional, full skirt shape and comes in fun pastels for spring – pale pink, mint, and lavender. Available in sizes S/M and M/L. Size availability varies by color. (Another option from UO is this softer-looking and less full navy skirt, in M and L.)
LC Lauren Conrad Tulle Maxi Skirt – was $64, now $32
And here’s an accordion-pleated, fully lined black skirt that is likely the most office-appropriate of tonight’s picks. Though still only possible in creative and casual environments. This option is great for those who love the whispery, diaphanous look of tulle but prefer a sleeker silhouette. Available in sizes XS – L.
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for tulle skirts:
- eBay – This is where I’d start my search. Mostly used, of course, but there are literally thousands of listings for tulle skirts.
- Modcloth – Next stop, Modcloth. This black tulle skirt is just lovely.
- Etsy – So many gorgeous options, including custom sizes and lengths.
- Search tips: In addition to “tulle skirt,” look for “ballerina skirt,” “chiffon skirt” (not the same as tulle, but a similar look sometimes), and “crinoline” although that last may yield some very poofy and stiff options.
