Already Pretty for the Holidays

If you give winter holiday gifts and are looking for some fresh and fashion-y ideas, allow me to suggest a few!

PERSONAL STYLE CONSULTATIONS

Style consults make great gifts! If you’ve got a friend or family member who longs for personalized style guidance, consider the gift of a consult. Or request one for yourself! I am available for personal shopping and style consultation services – both in person for clients living in the Twin Cities, and via e-mail for clients worldwide. Over the past five years I’ve provided makeover services to dozens of women of all shapes, sizes, and tastes everywhere from St. Paul to Houston to D.C. and received countless kudos for my gentle, innovative, and effective methods.

Two-time client Sarah wrote about how her experience working with me helped her make huge changes in her life and style and client JW flew out to Minneapolis to work with me. Read more testimonials and discover the details of the process right here.

I am currently accepting in-person appointments and online clients for January 2014. If you are interested in an in-person experience but don’t live in the Twin Cities area, I am hoping to do work trips to the following cities for the coming year:

  • Chicago (multiple trips)
  • Boston
  • San Francisco

Please e-mail me to discuss details!

MY BOOK

If you know someone who struggles to feel stylish yet isn’t quite ready to dive into a formal or guided makeover process, Already Pretty: Learning to Love Your Body by Learning to Dress it Well could be a great gift. My book is especially helpful to those who feel excluded by traditional style guides, wrestle with body-image issues, or wish to maintain a unique and personal look while still honing in on best practices. And remember: The book is 90% brand new material, not drawn from this blog!

CUSTOM PRESENTATIONS

Do you run a business and need a fun lunchtime activity? Work with students who need some guidance as they enter the workforce? Have a group of girlfriends who shop and talk style together, and would love some more targeted advice?  I’m extremely comfortable in front of an audience and enjoy creating custom presentations on style, body image, figure flattery, and related topics!

I’ve given custom presentations on figure flattery, shopping on a budget, making trends work for your body, and dressing your best to the Federal Women’s Program, EILEEN FISHER stores, and Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi law firm. I’ve also presented guest lectures at the University of Minnesota and St. Kates, created and taught a two-hour community education class, spoken on a panel at the BlogHer conference, and taught workshops at the Independent Fashion Bloggers’ Evolving Influence Conference, Creative Kidstuff, and Flex Appeal gym.

If you’d like to discuss booking me for a lecture, class, discussion, or custom presentation, please drop me an e-mail!

    Isn’t this a little tacky?

How is advertising your own services on your own blog tacky?

    • http://www.alreadypretty.com Sally

Well, I make my living on the services associated with this blog. Reminding my readers about them is an important part of my business model.

Isn’t it a bit much? You do a post like this every couple of months, which seems unnecessary given that there are links to all this stuff at the top of your site. You do you though.

        • Sandie N

Ahhh, unsolicited business advice in the comments section of her own blog! How helpful.
