Already Pretty outfit featuring Icelandic sweater, Karen Kane jeggings, Steve Madden Banddit boots

Sweater tunic – bought on our trip to Icelandmore Icelandic sweaters
Turtleneck sweaterdress – thrifted – similar
Skinnies – courtesy Karen Kane
Boots – Steve Madden Banddit via Opitz (no longer available) – pairs on eBay
Earrings – Urban Outfittters (no longer available) – similar

I can accurately gauge how cold a winter has been by counting how many times I’ve worn this Icelandic wool sweater tunic on weekend days. I’d say we’re up to at least a dozen wears so far this season. When the windchill hits double digits below zero, there’s nothing quite so effective at fending off the chill as Icelandic wool. It’s thick and a little itchy (hence the sweaterdress), but dang, it is WARM.

What’s your go-to outfit, garment, or fiber for truly freezing weather?

This outfit is great and I wanted to let you know that I took your advice and bought some Curvy jeans in skinny and bootcut — I love them and finally feel like I have jeans that do justice to my booty and don’t gap or pull in funny places! You are the best!!!

Oh, man, I haven’t been cold in so long! But this sweater looks like the medicine. When we go to NYC in the winter I rely on a faux-down coat, below the knees, and *lots* of layers.

Wool blend pulliver and drapey sweaters and tunics with thin long sleeved shirts underneath, cords, smartwool sox, boots. Big scarves. Quilted and knit vests. Miss my heeled and flat suede shoes but cant wear for awhile in this cold and snow. I also have some mittens and slippers bu a brand from Michigan called Babazuzu that are sooo warm, made from recycled sweaters. I am so so cold this hear for some reason.

I have a wool sweatercoat from Sundance that I got on post Xmas sale. I thought about returning it for about five minutes because of the silliness of owning a heavy merino sweatercoat in Charlotte, but I haven’t really taken it off since then. It’s my Big Lebowski sweater.

When it’s cold, I pile on the wool. SmartWool long johns top and bottom (and socks!), wool trousers, wool sweaters, and wool scarves.

I love the your sweater! Especially how it’s “cut”. It flatters you very well!

Wool!!! When it’s sub zero here, I pull out my merino shirt and layer it if I go outside with a wool sweater that’s grey. My wool hand knit socks also make their appearance then.

This is the kind of outfit I would wear on an excursion with the children, hubby and friends: classical sweater(and Warm), great jeans and a pair of good boots.♥ Yes, for sure!

Silk paired with wool. I don’t love wool against bare skin, but layered over silk, it’s incredibly warm and comfortable!

Ahh! I JUST went to Iceland and got a sweater! They are the warmest things EVERR. This tunic is too cute! I kinda wish I’d gotten one of those instead, but with how pricey my sweater was I guess it’s good I didn’t. Just HAD to comment, Iceland was awesome!
