With recent windchills reaching down to -30, I finally broke and asked to do at least one outfit shot indoors. Husband Mike and I popped over to his studio in the Northrup King Building for these, and I was so grateful to get in out of the bitter wind.

I love this look. The color combo is wonderful and the color of that cardigan looks gorgeous on you. I also covet those boots.
So glad you did! We hit -43 windchill a few days ago and I seriously thought, “Ok. *NOW* how is Sally gonna dress/take photos!”
I see those boots are well reviewed online. is that the burgundy color?
Yes, burgundy.
So…. how do you fit the long underwear under your skinnies? Or am I the only one that wears layers on the bottom these days?
I don’t. Between my long down coat and tall boots there’s only a couple of inches of exposed leg! My long underwear doesn’t fit under any skinnies – straight legs, bootcuts, and maxi skirts only.
Wow, my years in the south must have thinned the blood too far – I still needed the long underwear that day. Good for you!
I ordered your boots since I had been looking for burgundy and like shorter boots. I ordered a size up and wide since I have a high instep and wide calf, here goes nothin’ . Worth a shot, they look adorable. Love your blog.
