Insomniac Sale Picks: Tall Ponte Pants

*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Rachel requested a few picks for tall ponte pants, so here we go:

houn

7th Avenue Bootcut Pant – was $42.95, now $21.47

This simple bootcut pant in an on-trend houndstooth print is flattering and fun! The design features a flat, fly-free front, elastic back waistband, front welt pockets, and back faux welt pockets. Available in tall sizes XS – M.  (Also comes in limited sizes in black and gray.)

NY & Co. also has a straight leg style that’s not currently on sale ($39.95 at full price) and available in a full size run in tall lengths, but if you spend $100 you can use code 3744 for $30 off. Inseam is 34.5″ on both styles.

Ann Taylor Ponte Slim Pant – was $98, now $58.80
with code HOLIDAY

For a slimmer silhouette, this streamlined pair is a great bet. Designed with a front zip with double hook-and-bar closure, belt loops, and back welt pockets. Available in tall sizes 8 -18. 35.5″ inseam.

Ann Taylor also has a flare leg style in tall sizes 4, 12, 14, and 16. Inseam is 36.5 on this style!

loft

LOFT Julie Skinny Pants – was $69.50, now $41.70
with code HOLIDAY40

And yet skinnier, these are borderline leggings, it seems. Terrific for wearing with tunics! With an ankle crop, these have an inseam of 32″, so shorter but still meant for a longer inseam silhouette. (Regular inseam on this style is 29″.) Available in tall sizes 00 -16 in this burgundy and in heather gray.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for tall ponte pants (some of which are also highlighted above because this one was HARD):

  1. White House Black Market - Who knew, right? But this retailer carries long inseams that are 34″ and has three ponte styles for sale right now!
  2. New York & Company – Bootcuts, straight legs, solids, and prints with 34.5″ inseams.
  3. Ann Taylor and LOFT – Some skinny/ankle styles appear to have shorter inseams, but generally tall goes to 35.5″ – 36″.

Coldwater creek has a few pants that run long, I’m 5’11″ and didn’t need the tall size. Everything is also an additional 40% off. Here are a few that I purchased that are a little more stylish and fitting then their usual. The first one runs big, I had to order a size smaller than my norm.

I’m not sure what to call what I’m looking for. I thrifted a thin black sweater that’s made in Italy (the tag says Brunella Gori, but Googling that says it’s a men’s designer, and this is definitely not a men’s sweater). The cool thing about it is it has a single button a bit under the bust, and then the sides hang down long but not meeting together in the front. So it looks like an over-dress (since I wear mostly dresses). The way it drapes it really accentuates the curve of my hips. I just love it. The problem is that it’s a dry-clean-only sweater, and I wear it so much it’s starting to pill.

I can take a picture if that will help.

Whoa, that first pair of pants has a bit of a hypnotist thing going on. I think I like it.

Ahhhh! That pair of Ann Taylor slim pants is *exactly* what I’ve been looking for. Thank you!!
