*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Emily requested a few picks for fitted outerwear jackets, so here we go:
Kensie Funnel-Collar Fitted Jacket – was $120, now $79.99
This coat is lightweight but lined, so should do well in milder winter weather. The princess seams and detailed side stitching give it a great fitted shape. It features on-seam pockets at high waist and is machine washable! Available in this orange, cobalt, burgundy, winter white, and black in sizes XS- XL. Size availability varies by color.
Sutton Studio Wool Basketweave Jacket with Tie – was $218, now $55.98 – $89.97
This jacket it shaped and fitted on its own and has snip-off-able thread belt loops, so if you’re not digging the self-tie, you can skip it. It’s a fully lined wool blend, so is likely warmer than the Kensie jacket up above. Features a basketweave texture, tab button cuffs, and angled hip pockets. Available in this green, orange, and plum in sizes 6 -16 and 22 – 24. Sizes include some petites, and size availability varies by color.
Tinley Road Classic Claudine Coat – was $79, now $69.99 – $59.99
For a longer look that’s still fitted, try this collarless coat. It’s definitely lightweight and doesn’t appear to be lined at all, so best for milder weather. Might even work as a topper for indoor wear! Available in this magenta, cobalt, and white in sizes XS- L. Size availability varies by color.
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for fitted outerwear jackets:
- Modcloth – Sizing runs small, so check the charts, but this retailer has many nipped-waist, belted, and princess-seamed options.
- J.Crew – Both longer coats and shorter jackets tend to be slim-fitting. Cocoon and swing silhouettes are the exceptions.
- ASOS – More options means more silhouettes, but with this many options many are fitted and tailored. This structured blocked coat is gorgeous.
- And, of course, THRIFT STORES! It’ll be hit or miss, for sure, but considering how expensive jackets can get it’s worth a look. Many of my most fitted blazers and coats hail from secondhand shops. (thethriftshopper.com can help you locate stores near you.)
