Insomniac Sale Picks: Wide-calf, Low-heeled Boots

*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Monica requested a few picks for wide-calf, low-heeled boots, so here we go:

Naturalizer Etton Wide Shaft – was $189, now $149.99

Dang, this boot is gorgeous. I love the almond toe, the short chunky heel, and the sleek design. A slightly dressier looking option than riding boots. The shaft is 17″ wide before stretch, heel is 2.5″. Available in US sizes 4 – 12 including a few W footbeds. (This style also available in brown on Zappos and Shoes.com.)

David Tate Eden Wide Shaft – was $204.95, now $184.99

This boot is my favorite kind of sale picks find: Solid brand, good design, and available in a HUGE range of sizes. This boot has a 19.5″ calf circumference and a 16.5″ high shaft, and comes in US sizes 4 – 13 in medium widths, a slightly smaller selection of sizes for D and EEE widths. Not exactly cheap, but potentially a great investment in a classic, chic, three-season boot.

Naturalizer Arness Wide Shaft – was $179, now $99.99

This gorgeous riding boot features a 1.25″ heel, elastic gore, 17″ calf diameter before stretch, and that reliable Naturalizer comfort and construction. I’ve recommended this style before as an affordable wide-calf option, and now it’s even cheaper! Available in this dark brown and black with silver hardware in US sizes 4 – 11 in medium footbed, and a few sizes in AA and E footbed widths. Size availability varies by color. (Also available on Amazon in a few other size/color/price combos.)

Love this! I am always on the lookout for leather wide calf boots. I have a 20″ calf (Well, two of them, actually), and find it difficult to find boots that fit.

This year, I found the Lumiani Laila extra wide calf boot, and I gotta say, it is amazing. I’ve worn them daily for 2 months and they are so comfy. The tan color is really striking too:

They also come in a regular wide calf for those of us with wide but not extra wide calves. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

I don’t know if they deliver to the US but they are brilliant. Calf sizes from 30cm to 50cm in 1cm increments.

Not on sale (so far as I know), and more for those of us who are between the typical boot calf size and a wide one, the new North Haven from L.L. Bean fits pretty perfectly: http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/75774?feat=506588-GN2&page=north-haven-casuals-boots&attrValue_0=Black&productId=1255757
