Insomniac Sale Picks: Outerwear Capes

*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Minnah requested a few picks for outerwear capes, so here we go:

Steve Madden Faux Fur Collar Cape – was $180, now $110.99

Now doesn’t that look cozy? Don’t worry, just as the descriptor says that fur is faux! This option features the short bell shape that’s so trendy right now, with large buttons and a full lining. Available in sizes S – XL in this charcoal and black. (Charcoal sold out in size S.)

MAXSTUDIO Felted Wool Winter Cape – was $298, now $148

This pared-down design is marvelously elegant. With slightly higher arm openings, a high single button neckline, and a covered placket it looks sophisticated and chic. The felted wool fabric has a touch of mohair to lend more softness. Available in sizes XS – L.

BB Dakota Calhoun Cape Jacket – was $130, now $39.99

If you’re curious to try this trend but don’t want to spend a bundle, this style is quite a bargain at nearly 70% off! It features a fixed hood, flap hand pockets in front, and a stylish plaid print. This guy is a wool blend, so it’ll be warm but not scratchy. Available in sizes S – L. Runs small.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for outerwear capes:

  1. ASOS – 69 fun options in a variety of fibers at a range of price points.
  2. Zappos – Trench styles, wool, and faux fur. Love this ruffled option.
  3. Nordstrom – Lots of high-end, but plenty of budget-friendly, too.
  4. Etsy – There are some superhero-style capes in here, but lots of outerwear options are mixed in. This army green one is super stylish.
