Insomniac Sale Picks: Vegan Structured Handbags

*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Debby requested a few picks for vegan bags with some structure, so here we go:

Scarleton Quilted Patent Faux Leather Satchel – was $98, now $24.99 – $34.99

I don’t generally dig quilted bags, but the texture just works for this particular satchel. It’s got dual rolled handles with a 6″ drop plus a removable and adjustable shoulder strap with a 20″, and dimensions of 13″ x 8″ x 6″. Available in this red, a dark rose, black, and beige. All feature gold hardware except black, which has silver.

Baciami Purse with Bow – was $125, now $49.95

OK, I also don’t generally like bows on bags, but again: So cute! Not exactly Valentino-level amazing, but the dark brown material and balanced dimensions mean this bag looks classy AND sassy. This bag features a back zip wall pocket, fully lined compartment separated by a zip top pocket, interior zip wall pocket, plus cell and sunglass slip pouches inside. The top handles have a 5″ drop, and the bag has dimensions of 12.5″ x 4″ x 10.5″.

Faux Leather Crocodile Purse – was $199, now $50

This bag has some Birkin-esque traits without being an actual knockoff: The size, shape, lock and key feature. But you’ll actually have an easier time accessing your stuff since this bag lacks a top flap and instead features dual zippered pockets accessible from above. Handles have a 5″ drop, and overall dimensions are 14.5″ x 5″ x10″. Available in this black, and ivory.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for vegan structured handbags:

  1. Matt & Nat – Gorgeous vegan bags in all shapes and sizes. Many are soft, but there are some darling structured ones available like this Abyss Shoulder Bag. 6pm also has a great selection of Matt & Nat.
  2. Big Buddha – Another standby for faux leather handbags. Again, lots of squishy stuff, but a few lovely structured bags like this satchel are in the mix.
  3. eBags – This online bag emporium has lots of EVERYTHING. And you can search by material, including a “man-made” category.

  • I just got the Big Buddha Cate satchel and I gotta tell you, it’s a really well-made bag. The Baciami purse above is interesting – I do like the bow.

  • Thank you so much!!! You are a genius. I have searched before and come up empty-handed, but I like all of the purses you found. I love the Birkinesque and Kellyesque bags especially. Now to choose one!

I’ve had great luck with both Matt and Nat and Big Buddha bags. I also love my Harvey treecycle bag. http://www.seatbeltbags.com/treecycle-large-satchel.html

I’m disappointed that you only showed faux-leather selections as structured vegan bags. There are tons of gorgeous structured fabric bags out there! Just look on Etsy.
