Insomniac Sale Picks: Slim-fitting Low-rise Bootcuts

*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Keilexandra requested a few picks for slim-fitting low-rise bootcuts, so here we go:

Calvin Klein Slim Fit Bootcut Jeans – was $69.50, now $46.99

This dark wash is a classic, and I’ve loved CK jeans for years. Although this style features a 9-inch rise, which the company says is mid-rise, the overall fit is slim to the leg. Available in sizes 2 – 16, in regular and short inseams.

Genetic “The Cypress” Slim Fit Flare Jeans – was $198, now $49.59

If you’re more of a light wash kinda gal, this pair is a jaw-dropping bargain. Genetic gets high marks for fit and comfort, and this pair has a low rise and very slim legs. Available in sizes 24, 25, 28, 30, 31, and 32.

Mockingbird Denim Boot 2 – was $129, now $51.60

I’m not familiar with this brand, but love this wash. Most mid-blue washes tend to include whiskering and distracting details for some reason, but this one is clean and classic. A 7.5″ low-rise and slim leg lead to a subtle boot opening. Available in sizes 25 – 30.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for slim-fitting low-rise bootcuts:

  1. 6pm.com – Search for “slim boot cut” for good selection at decent prices..
  2. Anthropologie – Just a handful of options right now, but check back. Anthro is all about the low rise, and is bound to stock more slim boot cuts for fall and winter.
  3. Amazon – 97 options at a variety of price points.

Thanks so much, Sal! Somehow I didn’t think to check Anthro for a basic bootcut jean, although I’m in love with their dresses and skirts. And I haven’t heard of Mockingbird either but I like the look of that jean (with a rise low enough for me, too)!

Also: the classic Gap long & lean jeans.

Levis also has some great options. They have their “curve ID” system and they sell pants in waist/inseam sizes (like men’s pants, so it actually makes sense, and you can get them in the proper length).

  • If you are open to cords, I can absolutely endorse the J.Crew bootcuts. For premium denim, I go with the 7 For All Mankind “Dojo” jeans. I wear bootcut and nothing but:).
