Insomniac Sale Picks: Striped Full Skirts

*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Maricel requested a few picks for striped full skirts, so here we go:

Jones New York Signature Skirt – was $89, now $38.99

The product description says “a-line,” but with all those folds this looks pretty full to me! Plain stripes are grand, but I’m totally loving these chevrons, too. Available in sizes 6 – 14.

Banana Republic Casey Striped Silk Full Skirt – was $89.50, now $62.65
WITH CODE JULY2012

I’m posting an hour earlier tonight since it appears that this code will expire at midnight … sometimes you can sneak ’em through a bit afterwards, though! These colors are fabulous for right now, but those warm browns mean this skirt will transition beautifully into fall. Available in sizes 00 -12. (You can also nab this Chevron Stripe Skirt at Old Navy for 30% off with the same code.)

Oonagh by Nanette Lepore Rocco Striped Skirt – was $98, now $34

This is DEFINITELY the bargain of the night, and I’ll admit to ordering one for myself! It’s an above-the-knee style in swishy jersey knit. A great choice for end-of-summer wear. Available in sizes 0 -12.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for striped full skirts:

  1. ASOS – Lots of stripy options, many of them short so check the product stats. Plus and petite sizes, too.
  2. Nordstrom – Striped skirts abound in pencil and A-line, but there are plenty of full options, too. This one is my favorite.
  3. eBay – This is probably where I’d end up nabbing a striped full skirt, if I were in the market myself. Great variety of styles, sizes, and prices, per usual.
  4. Anne M. Cramer – If you want to go the artisan route, local designer Anne M. Cramer’s Flynn skirt is a favorite! The style doesn’t work on me due to thick gathered elastic at the back, but many women adore it.

  • If you want full+stripy+maxi-length rather than shorter, Target had some black and white chevron-striped skirts this summer too. Looks like the chevron ones are stores-only, but online there are a few others as well. $24.99 or so for all the styles. They were soft jersey and I almost bought them all.
