Dressed for: Unplanned Fance

Already Pretty outfit featuring leopard print bolero sweater, burgundy maxi dress, Antelope sandals, leather cuff bracelet

Leopard print bolero – Banana Republic (no longer available) – similar items
Maxi dress – courtesy Karen Kane – use ALREADYPRETTY30 for 30% off this dress!
Sandals - Antelope 934 Ankle-Strap Sandal
Leather cuff, Karin Jacobson
Earrings, Sunhee Moonsimilar (hematite)

I wore this for a regular day of writing, client work, and errands. When I looked at the photos, I said to Husband Mike, “I didn’t think I looked quite that … fancy.” He said, “You didn’t. The photos just turned out fancy.”

He must’ve used the Fancy Lens Filter without telling me.

I just adore that color red… and in a maxi dress too. Love it.

Though it does look fancy (not a bad thing), at least you look super-comfortable. Love the color of your dress — looks great on you!

Way to go! I’m very impressed with your blog. I discovered it upon reading about the pressure to be tan or to be pale. You know what you’re doing and saying. Very smart. Thank you!

It’s like sneaky fancy. I think the colors are so rich and bold, the black with the burgundy is what makes this look so sleek and fancy. The color choices are also making me ready for fall.

You look gorgeous in that dark red, Sal! Such a great colour!

I really love the extra “fance” – I gotta get one of those filters, hee hee.

Fabulous dress! LOL @ Fancy Filter. I think my camera has a lot of interesting filters, but not that one : >

There’s something heady about the colour combination – and the leopard, too, that is late 19th-centuryish. Very interesting and bold.

I often end up feeling quite fancy, but I guess that is because Western society has become much more casual in the way it dresses.
You look great and comfy! I decided a while ago that there is no point having beautiful clothes if they spend all their time in the wardrobe. So I wear them and never mind how fancy I look (big boots or sneakers tone it down a bit though)!

I think the lighting is making the colours just a little bit deeper/darker, and thus a little more fancy. ;)

Would love to order that dress — thanks for the discount! May I ask what size you have (do you find that it runs small, large, or true to size)?

I’m wearing a medium – and I typically take a size 8 dress in mall stores, so I’d say they run true!

I think it looks fancy because you are standing by that evergreen- and with that red dress I instantly think “christmas dress.” And those are always so fun and fancy.
