Dressed for: Excuses

Already Pretty outfit featuring neon yellow shirt, magenta Karen Kane maxi dress, Pour La Victoire Felicia, rhinestone bracelet, onyx earrings

Shoes, Pour La Victoire Felicia (no longer available) - more colorblock sandals
Bracelet, J.Crew (no longer available) - similar
Earrings, Lulidesigns

After languishing for months, I’m trotting out these shoes for the second time in three weeks. AND using them as an excuse to wear bright yellow, magenta, and black together. I like to call such things “bridging pieces,” but maybe they’re just color-mixing excuses in accessory format.

P.S. Karen Kane is running a great promo on the Julie Maxi Dress, Pleated Maxi Dress, and Buttoned Tie Top in a gorgeous variety of bold colors. Poke around the site, and then use coupon code ALREADYPRETTY30 when you check out for 30% off, including plus-sized versions of these items!

And for this week’s outtake: I give you the raspberries. Even though you’ve done nothing to deserve them.

I usually don’t care for bright yellow, but I LOVE this color combination!

Awesome! As soon as I saw the thumbnail of this outfit, I knew you were wearing those sandals!

I’m a Minnesotan too, so I am a bit confused at why you are wearing so many layers and sleeves when it has been so unusually hot/humid.

I work indoors and have a very efficient A/C system. ;)

Do you take it as a compliment if I tell you this makes me think of the most delicious gelato combo ver, natural pistachio/ raspberry?
’cause I mean it as a compliment! And it makes this officially the summeriest attire ever :)

Must be the zeitgeist. Just looked at What I Wore 2Day and she has the self-same colour scheme.
