I’ve worn this funky asymmetric hem dress with flat boots in the past, and loved the look. So I tried pairing it with my Vivienne Westwood Pirate Boots. On a 101-degree day. I looked odd and felt sticky. This is the redux with heat- and outfit-appropriate footwear. MUCH better.

It seems like this corner of our block is the Dramatic Breeze Corner. Some of my best skirt-billowing-in-the-wind shots hail from this very spot. (These aren’t as dramatic as some, but still! Noticeable billowing!)

  • Love the denim jacket with a dress look, and those shoes are to die for.

  • Lise

I think I’d faint if I even looked at my denim jacket on a 101-degree day! (but you look great).

    • Sal

I know. Not sure what I was thinking … 😉

  • That dress is fabulous, but it will transition well into fall with the boots – hopefully less hot and sticky.

  • Very fetching, and definitely redux-able : > I’m crazy about those sandals.

  • Assymetrical hems add a little something to otherwise ordinary outfits!!

That haircut is really cute on you, along with the color. I would love to see them thin it out even a little bit more on the sides and top for the summer…

    • Sal

Hmm. Any shorter on the sides and I’ll be shaved, any thinner and I’ll have issues with regrowth! It was a windy day, so I look a bit fluffier than usual.

  • I really love that last photo with your skirt flared out! This is a great outfit, Sal. Love those shoes too.
