It’s been ages since I wore my quirky Heavy Machine pumps, but once I had them on my feet I knew I need to up the whimsy factor in my overall outfit. So I piled on some bright colors, grabbed my bold pink bag, and added this sassy little necklace!

In light of your previous post, I thought you should know..
The mental acrobatics went something like this “Wow! fantastic shoes”… “I could never”… “Hey, Wait A Minute… Sal says I CAN !!”
Thanks for being a great example of being daring yet stylish and giving positive responses to negative comments… even if they’re all in my head.
I <3 your blog.
Ah! So much graphic cuteness. I love the combo of colors here and the stark edges of colors. The necklace is so adorable!
Wow, those shoes are quite amazing. Those heels!
Love your color-mixing, Sal and those shoes are just WOW!
i love this look! you look so comfortable as well as pulled together. will have to think about cropped jeans and heels….
Looks good and I love all those colours and how well the little details fit together!
Loooove the necklace! So fun!
I love the pieces you chose and I want to ask a question. Was mixing this top & bottom a first-time thing? I’m not criticizing because I truly am unsure if this is a “normal” pairing. I don’t mix cropped pants with 3/4-sleeved tops because I think it makes a person look like Alice after she eats the cake. “Whoops! These clothes fit yesterday!” So is it okay to do this for any body type or only if you’re slender?
Honestly, I’m not a fan of strict rules for dressing, especially when they come down on body size/shape lines. If you like the look and are worried about leg elongation, choose heels or platforms. If you’re concerned about torso shortening/elongation, you might want to skip the tunic in favor of a regular shirt. There are always ways to make it work for your figure.
But no, this wasn’t a first-time thing for me. I do tunics and cropped pants/leggings all summer, and 3/4 sleeves are my staple!
