Dressed for: Piracy

Already Pretty outfit featuring burnout skull shirt, pleated khaki skirt, Diesel Go-go, leather cuff

It did not occur to me that wearing a shirt emblazoned with a skull to a screening of “The Pirates!” might make me look like a wannabe. A wannabe pirate, that is. Since I get seasick just thinking about my half dozen outings on a sailboat I can safely say that a pirate’s life is NOT for me. But I can see how my fellow moviegoers might feel misled.

You must’ve been subconsciously inspired. Cute outfit. Did you enjoy the movie? I did – more entertaining and original than many of the animated films I’ve seen in the last few years.

I did like it, but felt like most of the best jokes were given away in the previews. Still fun, though!

Your hair has been looking really cute since you started flat ironing it (I think you said that’s how you’re styling it). It reminds me of Selma Blair’s hair when she cuts it short.

I love that shirt. If I had one, maybe I could be Folsom Lake’s first pirate!

I. LOVE. YOUR. BOOTS. !!!!!
(I just wish they weren’t made by Diesel… their ads are so awful!)

For what it’s worth, I bought these boots long before those ads came out. ;)

Fun! I really like that top with those boots. I have similar (cheapie) boots & I feel they really add to many outfits.

Aww I think it’s the perfect thing to wear to see a pirate themed movie. I am totally in favor of cheesy movie going outfits. (Also I agree with Tara – Your hair has reached maximum adorable levels)

Sal,
You look positively amazing in that photo. Your skin! Your face! If you are wearing lip-or-blush-something, Please tell us what it is!

PS. My blue shoes were comfy all day!

Thank you, Cat! I wear NARS Orgasm blush, but for lips? Eek. I have a big bunch of lip color and almost never wear just one at a time. It’s always a mix of at least two products. Sorry!

I love this look- just punchy enough with the boots but still chic.

I don’t know why exactly but this is my favorite outfit ever! Not only do you look cute as a button (and a little tough) but I think I might too…plus I can ‘shop’ a autumnal version of this from my wardrobe too…cross fingers it works as well as yours!

LOVE this outfit! I’d totally wear a skull to a pirate movie or show… on purpose, lol.

I love this look on you- because it’s so not the usual you? I’m not sure but it’s fun and fresh and funky. And the fact that you look totally at ease wearing a skull shirt makes me proud of you. Arrgggh.
