Dressed for: Monochrome Experimentation

Already Pretty outfit featuring cashmere wrap, gray boat neck tee, silver full skirt, Tsubo Acrea

Cashmere scarf, via Amazon (no longer available) - similar
Boat neck top - Old Navy
Skirt, via eBay overdyed by me – similar(ish)
Gray pumps - Tsubo Acrea
Bracelets, Bibelot - similar look
Earrings, gift – similar

My current case of Galloping Brain Rot seems to be intensifying. I saw an elegant all-gray monochrome outfit SOMEWHERE, but I’ll be danged if I can remember where. A catalog I think. But don’t quote me on that.

Anyhoo, I took the idea into my own hands and felt it offered me a great chance to trot out this overdyed skirt. It’s gray-ish, but get close and it’s actually silver. The original color was a pearly ivory, so now it’s shiny gray. Shiny gray reads as silver. And, as it turns out, a silver skirt can be challenging. But it works with a big pile of other things in different shades of gray!

So soft and lovely.
And loving all the delicate jewelry too. :)

It’s like the best parts of a misty, rainy day, in an outfit. I like it!

I know grey can have lots of undertones – do those pumps have a green undertone? It might just be my monitor.

Could be! They’ve always seemed like a warm gray to me.

One of the reasons I started my blog was because I was too fond of grey! I love the idea of a shiny grey…silver. And that cashmere scarf must feel so good!

Lovely ensemble, good mix of monochromes, enough detail to spice things up—including the way the shoe strap frames your tattoo.

Reminds me of an outfit I saw on the TLo blog the other day on Emily VanCamp – http://www.tomandlorenzo.com/2012/05/emily-vancamp-in-sydney.html

All gray is so pretty!

Your outfits lately have been totally up my alley. I always love your style, but the last two weeks or so, everything you’ve worn has garnered this reaction: “I want that on my body… NOW!”

I agree with Erika A above, at least to my eyes, the Tsubos seem to have some green to them. I really love how they show off the tattoo on your foot!

All I could think of when I saw this was “Fifty Shades of Gray.” Haha! I love this outfit. I never would have thought to do something like this but it looks really nice. I especially love the skirt.
