Insomniac Sale Picks: Bright Flats

*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

DeeDee requested a few picks for bright flats, so here we go:

Fossil Maddox Flat – was $79, now $54.58 – $78

Certain colors are on sale for $1 off full price, and others not at all. (Beh.) But I really wanted to include this flat because it comes in this sunny yellow, a rich green, navy, textured coral, magenta, and pale pink in addition to about a billion neutrals. I’m yet to spring for a pair of Fossil shoes myself, but their leather goods are top-notch. Available in sizes varying by color, 5 – 10.

Born Alex – was $95, now $60.99

This beautifully basic ballet flat from Born comes in a lovely burnished blue. (HAH! Alliteration FTW!) I adore Born shoes for their comfort and durability, and as I’m currently obsessed with all things cobalt, these are calling to me. Available in sizes 6.5, 7, 8, 8.5, 9.5 and 11. (Also available in Brown Metallic Leather in a few sizes.)

Clarks Aldea Palm – was $90, now $88.20 (some sizes/colors are less)

This looks pretty red to me, but the color descriptor is “coral” and other sites show a pinker hue. Either way, this feminine flat will add a dash of color to any spring-y outfit. Clarks is another trustworthy brand, bringing great quality, solid design, and comfort to the table. Available in size 5 – 12, including wide (C/D) in many sizes.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for bright flats:

  1. Piperlime – Loads of bright colors and fun shapes. This color-blocked pair is darling.
  2. Nordstrom – Always a standby for footwear! I’ve been eyeing the Frye Carson Ballet Flat for … eesh, about three years now.
  3. 6pm.com – Technically, everything on that site is on sale. (Including one of tonight’s picks.) Point being, you should poke around! Lots of fun and colorful options.

  • Yay, flats! Just to let you know, I have the Frye Carsons, and I went through maybe a month of thinking “Holy crap, I spent how much on these?” but now they are possibly my favorite pair of shoes and I am anxiously awaiting warmer weather so I can wear them pretty much all the time. Love. LOVE.

  • Have to chime in… while I’m a very loyal Clarks girl, I have the Fitzwell Timon that looks just like the last photo, and they’re my go-to red flats. http://www.6pm.com/fitzwell-timon-bright-red-nappa

Thanks, Sal! Those Fossil flats are darling. I just got these Easy Street flats and have gotten TONS of compliments on them:

    everyone loves the zipper detail.

Great picks! I have a pair of those Fossil flats in bone, and I can say that they are INCREDIBLY comfortable. Just a tiny bit large, not enough to size down. The leather is like butter and they are terribly adorable.

  • This reminds me to ask you…for another sales picks spotlight, I would love to see mustard pumps! I can’t seem to find yellow shoes that actually are what I would consider mustard (maybe ochre is a better descriptor(, but a nice deep yellow with a bit of brown/orange, not bright yellow or neon).

  • I am late on this, but I own a pair of those Fossil flats and I love them as a great pair of comfy go-to shoes. What I would like to caution about is that after a while, mine started making really annoying noises where the metal parts of the buckle would hit each other when I was walking. I jingled. I solved it by a little dot of super glue to secure the straight part of the buckle (the part that goes through the hole of the leather) to the part of the buckle it touches. Anyway, just in case anybody is seeing this now….
