Dressed for: Neutrality

Already Pretty outfit featuring cashmere boyfriend cardigan, tank dress, M Missoni skinny pants, Barbara Briones booties

Long cardigan, via Opitz - similar color/shape
Tank dress, Express (no longer available) - similar style
Pants, M. Missoni via Opitz - similar
Booties, courtesy Barbara Briones
Necklace, thrifted – similar
Earrings, gift – similar

This long cardigan is cashmere and so, so soft. Soft like bunnies that have eaten marshmallows and then rolled in feathers. Or something. So it’s a go-to garment when I’m feeling cold, tired, or worn-out. And I’ll fess up to feeling all three of those things today. Tried to break up the wash of neutral browns with the funky necklace and tough booties, but mostly I just wanted to cuddle with the sweater bunnies.

That sounds naughty.

It must be that kind of a day–I posted a neutral outfit on my blog today, too! It’s even similar in shapes and shades of earth tones. Maybe it’s the gray winter that makes us gravitate towards warm, easy colors.

Ah I love those type of sweaters. My preference is for my ugly angora grey sweater, because it is indeed made of bunny fur.

I love the tough booties though. They definitely look awesome!

I love those booties! The straps are fantastic.

Also, in the fan-writing community, a “bunny” is slang for “an idea for a story”, so I sympathize with wanting to curl up with bunnies–in perhaps a different fashion!

(P.S., I don’t know if this guy is on your radar, but I just found a fashion blog for this guy: http://hisblackdress.blogspot.com/ – he’s wearing skirts and dresses and accessories which are all totally coded female, but in a very butch way. It’s really cool to see a guy blogging about building outfits in the same way women do. He’s just finishing up an entire month of outfit posts with only skirts and dresses, no pants or shorts, and it’s been really inspiring!)

Oh, that sweater looks amazing. I’ve never been able to figure out long cardigans for myself… maybe it’s time to put in a little extra effort on that front.
