I did indoor shots today and this scarf looked incredibly, undeniably red against my yellow dining room walls. But it’s pink! A vibrant, hot pink! And I’m so glad HM arrived home in time for an outdoor shot to prove it.
I took a few pieces to the tailor this afternoon, including several tunics, so leggings were a necessity today. They make the trying-on of things so much easier. This particular pair of leggings is beginning to bag at the knees, which I’m assuming is due to repeated wearings and washings … though it’s possible I’ve suddenly lost a bunch of knee-weight. Soon, they’ll get retired and replaced or repurposed.

The pop of pink is this beautiful scarf is the perfect touch to make this look! I also really like the boots.
This DVF dress is super dreamy! Love it, S!
I love hearing that you found a dvf on ebay, gives me hope.
I find great things on ebay all of the time, but no dvf for me yet.
Marie @ Lemondrop ViNtAge I’m having a giveaway…
I absolutely love that dress with the pink scarf against it…so perfect!!
The DvF has such a great print!!! And it looks snappy (ashamed I am using this word) with the pink scarf!
No shame! I love “snappy”!
I struggle to determine the true color of my clothes all the time. Our house only gets dim light. I get dressed in the morning and often think things match and then realize later in the day that they do not.
I love how you used contrasting colors so brilliantly!
Sal- I’m local and wondering if you would recommend your tailor? I haven’t found one that I feel comfortable with doing anything more complicated than hemming.
Kayt, I’ll definitely let you know. This is a new one to me – Sew Simple, inside Blacklist Vintage in Uptown – so I’m not sure yet how it’ll go. Fingers crossed!
I haven’t worn through any leggings yet – but what would happen if you cut them above the knees (to wear under longer skirts as a warmth layer until it warms up again?) I suppose they’d roll up though, now that I think about it.
But they might make good utility headbands/scrunchies/turtlenecks etc when cut into “rings”…
That dress is amazing! Love it with the hot pink scarf.
