This new-to-me silk skirt was an eBay bargain, but it’s DEFINITELY getting relegated to summer wear from now on. It’s thin, unlined, and prone to fits of embarrassing static cling. My slip didn’t work, and eventually I resorted to the old tap-water-on-the-tights trick. (More on that tomorrow.) So cute, but so fussy. Eesh.

These Falke tights are in the running for FavoriteOpaques. They’re incredibly comfy and a rich, matte black. Will report back after washing …

Also please note the pointy ends on my rectangular scarf and use of loops. How did I do all that? Why, I’ll show you.

  • I absolutely love this scarf and enjoyed your tutorial earlier today about scarves. This one is incredible!!

  • I’m with Pam — that scarf is gorgeous!! It’s almost dress-size – can you re-tie it as a sarong? : >

  • What a fun outfit!!

  • I love that skirt. I used to use hand lotion to foil static cling.

Anyway, the red is very zippy!

  • I loooove the scarf and the skirt. Every year after summer I promise myself to wears skirts on cold weather but then when the temperature goes down…I change my mind, so I love to see you wearing so many skirts, bravo for you! …I forgot to mention, here in winter the average temperature is 51.6 and it doesn’t snow, but Brrrr! forget the skirt, give pants! haha
