Yep. Snow. It’s supposed to be 50 degrees by Thanksgiving, but for now, we have this. Hence the cozy cowl neck and black tights. Speaking of which, I’ll have a full review of these black opaques soon when the giveaway launches but, in short, AMAZING. High waist, no pinching, comfy, and stellar all around. I’m thrilled with them.

Since the sun is setting before HM arrives home, I am teaching myself to use a remote for self portraits. I always knew I was lucky/spoiled to be married to a fabulous photographer, but I don’t think I knew exactly how lucky/spoiled I was. Allow me to salute ALL of you who do this on a daily basis. I spent 45 minutes faffing about with the thing and this was, quite literally, the only salvageable shot. Gotta love a learning curve …

  • Love this—leopard with a red pop is a favorite combo of mine.

Also loving seeing your handbag choices.

    Marie @ Lemondrop ViNtAge I’m having a giveaway…

  • That’s a very hot leopard skirt, and absolutely fabulous boots!

Ooh, sassy! I’m loving leopard print at the mo. I just bought a pair of ballet flats and a pair of heels in it.

  • At least the remote light accessorizes your bag nicely 😉 Oh, it is a learning curve! I’m still working with a timer *grumble*

  • That skirt is hotness on you!! Love the pop of color too!

  • Carrie

You look hawt! Classy, chic ensemble–love the pop of red!

  • I’ve heard Commando tights were good – I can’t wait for the full review.

You look fabulous; love the leopard skirt. And can I just say, that your hair has been looking especially great lately.

  • Sal

Just have to say: Another bit of proof that I’ve got a long way to go with this self-portraiture thing? My handbag is pink. And I mean bright, searing, Pepto-Bismol pink. But you’re all right, it totally looks red here!

  • Wowza lady! You look great! Well done!

  • Jenny

    Love your outfit today!

  • Ohnoes! Snow! Well your leopard print makes a great statement against it. I am thankful every single day that I have someone willing to photograph for me.

  • I really like this outfit. It is sort of mod, and it looks nice with your short ‘do.

  • Rawr!

  • You’re so hot, the snow is melting to your feet! 😉

Love the bag, even it is pink and not red.

    Greetings from Germany,

    🙂

  • I am in LOVE with this outfit! I have so many wacky skirts that are hard to wear, I need to remember to find a good black sweater – it’s so chic and simple for winter!

  • TOTALLY dig this outfit and can see myself wearing a similar version very soon! Can’t wait for the Commando review – heard good things (and those don’t look shiny at all! LOL!).

  • Jess

Sal, even before scrolling down and seeing that you’d taken this photo yourself, I thought to myself how great you look in it – so I think you’re doing very well with the self-photography!

Actually, once you’ve done a bit more of it, would you consider posting some tips about how to take a good outfit shot on your own? I was trying to do it the other day (after some GENIUS purple and orange colour blocking…) and couldn’t manage to get a decent shot.

  • Anyone who wears a leopard print skirt is a-okay in my book 🙂

    Beautiful styling, as usual, Sal!
