I adore the poofy collar on this AllSaints dress, which, in its natural state, is marvelously dramatic. But it looked decidedly goofy spilling out over the collar of my jacket, so I wedged it inside. I’m also using my beloved fashion tape to create false lapels on this collarless jacket. So much deception packed into one outfit …
Husband Mike and I spent our Sunday afternoon tootling around Hopkins, and I scored big at the Hopkins Antique Mall. These lovely potato pearl stretch bracelets were part of my massive jewelry haul, but I mainly nabbed pairs of earrings. I’m still struggling a bit to find earrings that work with my cropped hair, and stumbled upon a both that was selling vintage earrings for $2 and $3 a pair. I bought many. MANY.
Today’s stellar skull filagree earrings were not among them, of course. Those were a purchase prompted by a recent collaboration with Infrared Studio. More on that this Friday!

Oooh, great outfit! I actually own not one but two green military jackets just like that. Love them!
Love the whole thing, especially the deception, xd.
Sal–it was really great to “meet” Mike!
What a way to dress down your fabulous dress! I adore All Saints and you rock it!
Love those skull earrings!
You know I love this dress – and you look so fabulous! I looked ahead at Infared Studios, and they have some beautiful pieces – I love the green bangles.
Hey lady, the outfit is great…. especially those earrings. Love them! Keep it up.
I love the way you dressed down the white dress! It is so fun. I was just in the twin cities for the first time, and I had an awesome antique store find in Northfield-a royal blue vintage 1960s coat with row of giant side (instead of center) buttons. I’m in love with it!
So cute! I love the earrings and the bracelet. Great way to make a summery white dress fall appropriate.
Those earrings are great with that whole ensemble, so feminine plus so ass kicking with the boots.
Wow !
This outfit rocks !
Great outfit! Love the contrast between the white feminine dress and the black biker boots. Those skull earrings are so cool. I really love pearls, and actually prefer the “cheap” ones, they come in so many colours and shapes, much prettier than a boring round unicolour pearl heh.
I cannot wait to see pictures of those earrings! Congrats on the awesome buy
Every time you wear that blazer, I’m jealous. What a great find.
I love the mix of elements in this outfit – it’s like part Marilyn Monroe, part bad-ass biker! And those earring are insanely cool (and I never like earrings!)
I agree with pretty much everything all the other ladies have said–love the combo of BAMF and feminine, and I’m still in serious love with that dress.
Love it! You look great!
CUTE DRESS! I’ve walked into AllSaints a few times and have always just been confused by their clothing, lol. But you made this dress seem totally wearable. Nicely done.
I think wearing a white dress and being able to make it look casual and fall-appropriate takes guts and a little fashion savvy too! Love the outfit- it might help me rethink some of my non-fall dresses to see if they can be revamped for the new season!
