Most faux leather makes me cringe, but I just couldn’t resist this little fitted blazer. The cut and color are what drew me in, but the texture is actually remarkably leather-like, wrinkles and all. It does squeak quite a bit when I move around, but I’m trying to convince myself that qualifies as “amusing” and not “bloody annoying.”
For some reason, this outfit makes me think of Italy. Dressed this way, I feel I should be casing the streets of Milan looking for the perfect crisp white blouse. But if I were actually casing the streets of Milan, I can guarantee I’d be looking for the perfect gelato instead.

It does have a very Italian vibe. And I LOVE that skirt – maybe because I recently made one that reminds me of it
Love it! This combination is fantastic. I’m inspired!
This is one of my favorites! It looks so warm and toasty!
Gorgeous outfit! I would love tips on tying scarves properly. I have a beautiful, very large square scarf that I cannot quite figure out how to tie. It is about 5 feet square, and folding it into a long rectangle makes it bunchy, and folding it into a triangle to drape over my shoulders is pretty but tying it in place isn’t quite what I hoped for – it won’t stay.

Beautiful outfit. I don’t remember ever seeing you in a pencil skirt before — more please!
Another lovely one. I love these shades on you.
Super gorgeous! Just pretending the squeaking is an audible way of saying just how fabulous you look.
Nice rusty tones! I’ve become a fan of rusty in recent years.
And it must be remembered, ya know, that real leather jackets can also be squeaky! I have at least two that are uh, a little musical. Pleather might squeak a different note, but still.
Ooh, that skirt is gorgeous. You look so classy!
Mmm gelato. I love the colors in this outfit, by the by! The jacket brings out the warmer tones in the skirt just perfectly!
Not all faux leather is created equal! This looks pretty convincing. Love the outfit!
Gorgeous colour and texture combinations. Interesting re the ‘faux’, which I too generally steer away from.
Ooh – another lesson in black/brown combos – and so sophisticated and beautifully chic. You’re the master, Sal.

Tres chic! I love the cut and colour of the jacket – I can see why you were drawn to it!
I love this! The warm colors, the sharp blazer and the lovely scarf!
Wow, Sal! I think this is my favorite outfit on you EVER!! Everything is just so perfect. It’s a colorway that I’m obsessed with right now (love the 70′s vibe) and the shapes just look divine on you!
