I resisted the urge to do a red belt with this dress, squashing my matchy urges. Erin told me long ago that cognac leather goes with everything, and I do believe she’s right!

Sal, I love this outfit. So dignified, pretty, but creative. Thank you for sending something the way of us classicists:).
This dress is beyond AWESOME, lady! It's got a cool tie dye paint thing going on. Love the belt you paired it with!
What an adorable dress! My only hesitation is that the neckline seems a little high–I would consider a plain silver chain or something similar to bring it down a bit, maybe.
I absolutely love the red heels! And I think you executed Erin's advice effortlessly. In fact, I think I'm going to have to keep my eye out for a cognac belt for myself.
I would have gone for the obvious red belt solution. This one is much more interesting. I like the red shoes with the pink and the cognac. Warmth and coolness all combine for a great look.
She's right! Although a woman in the Oct issue of Vogue says that mauve goes with nothing but brown and grey. Something tells me you could prove her wrong.
Since red, pink and cognac are all warm tones, I think they go together perfectly.
ooh, I love red and pink together!
Alexandra: Good idea! A necklace next time, fo sho.
I love this dress! So lovely. I love your style!
What they said. Also, look how perfect your rack looks in this dress. 'Like god's little apples!
Super fabulous! The color is fantastic. Good choice on the belt. I also agree on adding a necklace next time.
I do like that belt with the dress instead of red, but I LOVE that color leather… so rich.

You are pretty in pink today!
I like the dress and the combination with the belt and with the shoes I think is a good ideea.
Two things:
1. That dress is aggressive and amazing. The pattern is really unusual — is it an animal skin? A marble painting? V. cool.
2. Cognac TOTALLY goes with everything — but it's ridiculously hard to find cognac shoes, esp. boots.
Awesome dress! I agree about the cognac going with everything, and I think chestnut does too!
I love the print on that dress! And the color looks wonderful on you.
This dress and shoe combination is extremely flattering on you! Love it. Want it. Except it won't look as good on my colouring.
Good call! The cognac makes the color palette so much more interesting and sophisticated. It's beautiful!
