Sunday Shoes: Old Navy Gladiators

by Sally on July 18, 2010 · 19 comments

Since this pair of shoes is among my least photogenic, I have enlisted some help in making these photos less boring and dumb.

Ahhh, that’s better. Thanks, Simon, for your assistance. I can see you disdain these gladiators. I understand that. They were a mere $10 at Old Navy, purchased on a whim after years of resisting the trend. But believe me when I tell you, skeptical kitty, that they’re surprisingly comfy and cute. So much so that I went back for a pair in brown. Do I wear them on days when I’m going to walk across campus several times, you ask? No, Simon, I don’t. But they’re just fine for everyday wear.

No, you can’t borrow them.

Love this post. Lots of people seem to be chatting to their animals at the moment. Wendy Brandes was having a conversation with a pig in her last post.

On to more clothes related items, your gladiators look fabulous. Simon did need to be told.

Sal-I was just browsing 6pm.com's clearance and they have several Kork-Ease styles on sale for $42.50 – reg $195. Two really cute styles of sandals in multiple color options. Wanted to let you know!

Simon is awesome (your sandals are lovely too but I am in kitty withdrawal). Does he have extra toes? Or is he just sure-footed? Also. Squee!

He's fantastic. What a perfect look of contempt. I heard somewhere that dog people thrive on acceptance, but cat people thrive on rejection. True, no?

I found gladiators to be surprisingly comfortable for sandals.

Simon-kitty looks appropriately disapproving. (he would make an adorable lolcat)

I was able to hold out on the gladiator trend — well, sort of. My sister has a really great pair that I find myself borrowing from time to time.

Those look pretty darn cute for $10 though!!

I think compared to the typical blach, high-cut gladiators ,yours are very casual and can be worn everyday without looking outdated.:)

Yay for kitty photos! :) I rescued a 6-toed kitten last week. I have a couple of photos on my blog!

Simon is adorable…he totally steals the show. But then I am a huge sucker for kitties and get all silly around them :)

Hahaha! You need more posts with your cats in them! :) He really does have a look of disdain on his face in the last one.

I love those sandals! Simon makes them even cuter – cats have a way of doing that, don't they?
