Some of you may remember me purchasing and wearing a vest much like this last summer. Posting about it caused others to post about how easy it would be to MAKE such a vest. So I made about six in different colors of jersey.

Cut rectangle of fabric. Cut circle in middle. Wear. Couldn’t be easier.

the color combo is just perfection today!
Such a cute vest! And sexy too! I think I'm even MORE impressed when a simple DIY project turns out so well.
Sal, you're a genius! I'm going to see all my scraps of saved fabric in a new light now. Love the blog!

My daughter will love the vest idea!
That vest is REALLY cool. I love the simplicity of it, and how it has layering potential either as a top layer or in the middle, underneath a jacket or blazer in the cooler months. And have you tried belting one? It seems like that might work well too.
Those shoes are killer!
I love the pink with the brown and green, such a fun pop! Those shoes are amazing. I need fun shoes like those!
I like the combination of pink and olive, and good job with the DIY.
You look really cute in this.

Wow what an awesome idea!! I was just thinking how I want some little flowy vests but don't want to spend the money. I love how you've styled it!!
I really like the easy vest idea, I would however find some way to cut it wrong.

Love this! But Sally I know if I tried it, it will come out all messed up, your vest looks so perfectly cut. I like that nice hot fuschia color you picked out too! Do your thing diva!
I like the creative color combo, the olive top and brown skirt are well done. IMO the vest cheapens the look, sorry, but I do like the color choice. The shoes rock but would have been much better in a darker color – copper brown, for instance. The color you have them in is too pale and blends into your skin tone, making your calves look bigger than I think they really are. JMO.
Awesome idea. I should really try this instead of considering buying one. I always feel like the jersey vests are so pricey. Great solution~!
That's a VERY cool vest!
Very Cool DIY project. Great accessory piece to do in lots of colors and textures. A cute brooch or flower on it would be another way to wear the vest, too.
Cool shoes and color combination, too.
Easy, pretty and I had never thought about it….lol

Simple yet elegant vest for sure.
That vest is so cool. Totally want to make one of them.
And I love the final pose. It's one I do a lot, which my friend has officially titled "Where's my dog?" I think all poses should have names – Zoolander here we come.
Are those shoes comfy? Love them!
Lucy Starcrest: They are surprisingly comfy! Though I will admit to tripping in them two or three times, something I seldom do. Must be a different shoe shape than I'm used to …
Those nude caged heels are adorable.

Fabulous shoes as usual!
I HAVE to try this jersey vest thing.
I love that vest, I made a blue one just like it last year from your pattern!! You look great Sally!
Sehr nützlich und richtig schön! Und die Farbe ist wirklich super!
What a great idea! Thanks for sharing!
