Casual Outfit Roundup: Week of July 4

Yellow cotton dress, courtesy Land’s End Canvas (review here)
Scarf, a shop in central California somewhere
Red patent sandals, Kork-Ease via eBay
Red bangles, thrifted
Sunnies, Miu Miu

We played tourist all weekend, showing Audi and Mark around town. Check out the view from the top of the Guthrie Theater!

On Audi:
Black shrug, from Ambiance boutique in SF
Strapless top, Mica, from Ambiance boutique in SF
Dotty skirt, thrifted
Orange and gray sandals, Camper

On Sal:
Purple dress, Gap
Brown platforms, John Fluevog Haight
Bracelets, a gift from my mom

And we took ‘em on a tour of the Wabasha Street Caves. SO fun, people! As you can tell by our big grins.

We had such a fabulous time visiting with Audi and Mark. I don’t think we convinced them to move to Minneapolis, but it wasn’t from lack of trying. Come back anytime, you two. We miss you already.

I may be the first to say this, but I know I won't be the last: yellow is your color! At least that yellow! Wow! I have rarely, if ever, seen anyone with skin as light as yours pull yellow off. You look wonderful in it! More yellow!

Hello – I absolutely love Audi's outfit – It looks great on her, but I would never think to put those pieces together for myself. (You look adorable too.)

Yeassshhh I too think you look fabulous in yellow! and am flummoxed, because you and I have SUCH similar coloring, yet I look like I've been dead a few weeks when I try that shade on myself, lol. Maybe I need to fine-tune with some alternative shades of yellow? I do love what I call "vintage fiestaware lemon yellow"…hmmm. And it looks good w/red…double hmmm. I love the pic of you and Audi! You both look amazing in your own unique ways and I particularly noticed that those Camper sandals make Audi's feet look TINY. I seem to recall her saying her feet look big to her at times, so–those sandals are a winner! I love Camper shoes but they NEVER fit me, alas. Not so, happily, with Fluevog, and your Haights are huge winners!

@IrishRedRose: is it the yellow w/ red that does Sal so proud?

You look smashing in this outfit, Sal.

TWO of my favorite fashion bloggers in one place! Sounds like a fun visit and some wonderful sight-seeing :) You both look fabulous, as always.

The Twin Cities are a gem…they don't get enough props b/c everyone assumes it's too cold/too Midwest, but I adore the vibe and the friendly people!

Good times indeed! You and Mike were awesome tour guides. I definitely came away with a much better impression of Minneapolis than I had when I lived there. We'll be back! But only in the summer…
