Daily Outfit: 4/26/10

Turquoise bolero, Tulle
Floral dress, Liberty of London for Target
Green pumps, Camper
Bangles, Fringe

Seriously, people, could it GET any springier than this?

That big pinkish tree behind my head in the first shot is in our neighbor’s yard and only blooms for about three days per year. But when it does? Such gorgeousness. I pray for dry weather because one good rainstorm and all of those petals vanish.

I’m a little be-petaled myself today. And matchy-matchy to boot. It’s not often you can make your green shoes with lavender heels match perfectly to your frock.

Shit! Someone turned me into a bunny! HALP!

And hey, doesn’t Husband Mike deserve some big time kudos for these photos? He is such a star.

wow…that dress looks STUNNING on you. as in, it looks like it was made for you/you were born to wear it. something about the softness of the cut and maybe even the curls in your hair echoing dance of of the flowers in the print. πŸ™‚

  • La Historiadora de Moda

Love the outfit. My husband would like it if you would be willing to give me some advice on how to be a better picture subject. He would also be thrilled if your husband could give a bit of advice on how to take a good picture.

  • 3goodrats

I love your Liberty of London dresses, but can't find that brand at my local Target. Bummer! Were they a limited edition or are they only available online…?

  • Peggy

You look so pretty! I have the sixty print shirt I haven't worn yet, but seeing this I think I like the dress better! I love spring and florals! I also appreciate your post earlier and the good reminder about what really matters in life!

  • The Waves

LOL! That could be our yard, where the bunnies roam and the neighbor scores with the best lilacs in town.

I was just thinking that these photos are so dreamy and bucolic, Mike did a superb job as always. He really captures flora well. And wives!

You really worked that Target dress, Sal. You look beautiful.

  • Maayan

So cute! I love the shoes, and you're making it so I can't wait to visit the US to check out this Target line. I've never bought clothes at Target before, but all your stuff from there is so adorable.

  • Paula

those plants in the back – the botanical name is Syringa vulgaris are a very traditional mothers-day-gift in Austria! The smell is so alluring!

Looking at your bolero I was wondering sincce you actually never reacted to my comment on proportions (I commented on the high wasteline): Do proportions have any importance to you? … on bringing out strengths and mitigating flaws? Or don't you care at all? I once enjoyed a still-counselling and a handful of clues such as optimal length of sleeves, hemlines and waistlines helped me a lot. A friend of mine thinks it is a dictate. I rather follow the dictate and feel confident like I never did before because all of a sudden what has been out of proportion now looks harmonious. Maybe you feel confident no matter how high your waistline is πŸ™‚

Thank you for pointing out your husbands work, I did not realise he is a photographer!

  • Daisy Dukes

Sal, you had me at the rabbit.

  • Melanie

That outfit looks great on you. I love the colors. I love all things spring! Especially blooming flowers, cute little bunnies and sweet floral prints. Happy Tuesday Sal!

  • pretty face

  • Kathleen

You look gorgeous in these photos! Love the entire outfit and how matchy-matchy it is. πŸ™‚

I saw one of my first bunnies of the spring yesterday. It was running away from the gardener with the hedge trimmer that was making a loud noise!

  • Kelly

I hadn't even noticed the lavender heels until you mentioned it! Too cool!

  • Clare

Yes, these photos are phenomenal. And I'm pretty sure that those Liberty of London prints were absolutely MADE FOR YOU.

  • Emma Clark

Gorgeous dress. And you look equally cute as a bunny.

  • Chelsea

Oh, Sal, I am completely smitten with this entire look! The colors, the pattern, the drape, the smile… GORGEOUSNESS! Seriously. One of my faves of yours… and that's seriously saying something girlfriend!

  • Lemondrop Marie

OOOOOOOOh the bunny! Perfect! I have the dress but as I am very short it is a bit longer on me. It is lovely on you with your coloring. I am envious.

I have that dress in the coral print. I'm changing it to over the shoulder straps instead of a halter (me and halters don't get along). Your bolero looks great! I wore a cropped jewelneck cardigan with the dress and it made the ruffle look wonky. Thanks for the inspiration every day!

  • All Women Stalker

This outfit just made me happy. THe bunny, too! πŸ™‚

  • Margarita Tartakovsky

I love how you paired the dress with that cardigan. Sooo pretty on you! I actually own the same dress, and wore it for Easter with my boyfriends' family, and I got compliments on it, too. It's so fresh and spring. πŸ™‚

I get a lot of clothes (and workout stuff) from Target. It's really a great store.

  • Hello*Pretty

Aww- I love that dress! It's so adorable and from Target… who knew?!! Great blog! I've seen it listed on a few other blog pages, and since it had "pretty" in it, had to check it out. Glad I did, love it! Cheers!
