Outfit Roundup: Week of November 22

Vintage Oscar de la Renta scarf, Rice and Beans Vintage
Red sweater, thrifted, remixed
Purple moleskin skirt, Boden, shortened by me, remixed
Gray tights, Banana Republic, remixed
Red suede pumps, Tsubo Amset, remixed

I wore this to a video shoot with jewelry designer Karin Jacobson, which I'll be posting as soon as I finish editing it. Whenever I do anything on video, I try to work some bright red into my outfit because I think it's one of my best colors.

Black turtleneck sweater dress, thrifted, remixed
Leopard print leggings, Macy's
Black foldover booties, Aldo, remixed

More Thanksgiving-y goodness. Got some bad news on this day, hence the serious face and choice of fantastically comfy attire.

Gray cardi, J.Jill, remixed
Teal tank, American Apparel, remixed
Skinny leather pants, Spiegel, remixed
Black buckle booties, Alice + Olivia for Payless, remixed
Turquoise beads, Clemoon, remixed
Black bangle, Electric Fetus, remixed

Wore this over Thanksgiving weekend to meet The Budget Babe, who is even more gorgeous, friendly, and generally awesome in person than she is over e-mail. Here we are in front of Merz Apotheke in Lincoln Square, where we ogled fancy toothpaste and $150 boar bristle hairbrushes.

Jersey knit duster, Velvet by Graham & Spencer via Century 21, remixed
Purple tank dress, Express, remixed
Pale blue tank, no idea
Gray leggings, Target, remixed
Gray boots, Diesel Go-go, remixed

Continuing the series of Sal Stands Next to Weird Stuff While Road-tripping, here's me next to an orange moose butt somewhere in Wisconsin. We're on the way back from Chicago.

I've had that duster for nearly eight years but the tank dress is new, and I only thought to pair them because they were sitting next to each other on the shelf. The light blue tank picks up on the light blue contrast stitching on the duster. Here's a horrible detail shot to prove it to ya:

There. Proven!

I've got to agree with La Historiadora... the leopard print leggings are fab!

Oh, and I have to tell you about my recent thrift store score! I picked up a pair of Liz Claiborne pants for 7 bucks! And they are fabulously long enough for me! Did I mention how fabulous they are??

Hey Sal, Maybe I missed this from last week's roundup, but what do you mean by "remixed"?

Red is a great colour but I would say that and the red suede shoes are gorgeous. The moose image is very amusing how did you pose so well!

I wore such a similar outfit to your first one last week too! :)

I like seeing your wardrobe/fashion shoots. I get some wonderful ideas. Can you please define what 'remixed' means in this context? Thanks!

Hey everyone! "Remixed" just means I've worn a piece before, though not necessarily on the blog. Many of my blogging compatriots use the term, and I just got tired of saying that something was bought and worn "ages ago" or "six years ago" or "last year."

I'll put a note in next week's roundup, too!

Love the remixing with panache- and those skinny leather pants are so chic. Coveting.
And I love the weird things pic series! It's the biggest orangest moose butt ever!
