This week I love …

… my new leather vest from Attiladesign.

I blame Audi for this deeply impractical purchase. She’s ordered several custom pieces from truly gifted designer Tiina, and posted about them, and the very first time I followed her link to the Attiladesign Etsy shop, I feel head over heels for this Lily Vest. I mean, seriously, what a GORGEOUS piece. And clearly designed to show off the curves of a woman’s body. Curves like mine!

Tiina is a delight to work with – just as bubbly and funny and accommodating as she can be. I requested my Lily Vest in gray leather with silver hardware, and I could not love it more. It’s a work of art, and I know I’ll be constructing outfits around it for years to come.

Very cool. It's like "biker" meets "greek goddess."

You look fantastic, Sal! I just love how sculptural and almost futuristic this piece is. Definitely one of those treasured garments!

That's beautiful. And beauty is the practicality of it. Isn't beauty a valuable quality in and of itself??

I think it would look good in the winter over a conservative outfit of turtleneck, pencil skirt, opaque tights and platform pumps. All in black or charcoal. Hair in an updo. Sort of a yin/yang thing.

It's a cool piece. I can't imagine ever wearing something like that myself.

How amazing that you have the sang froid to make outfits out of something so avant garde. Sorry, just seemed like the vest warranted as many French words to do with style as I could come up with:).

Clever. And wacky! I love wacky.

You know, at first, I saw that and thought it was part of the dress. What's cool is, it's not! It can be part of any dress!

Well, at least I'm living up to my reputation as a bad influence. ;-)

The vest looks truly AMAZING on you, which makes me very happy, seeing as how my buttercream version is speeding its way from Helsinki as I write…
