Even the pieces that don't really ring my chimes look sumptuous and wearable in these perfectly styled photos.The fall line print ads include lots of vibrant greens mixed with heather grays - sadly not yet sold on the website - and ever since I first glimpsed those ads, I've been daydreaming of buying this line in its entirety.

As an aside, my first fashion faux pas relates to the venerable Donna and her wares. I was shopping at Marshall Fields (RIP) with my mom as a pre-teen and came across a tee emblazoned with this particular line's logo. I'd never seen it before, and, for some reason, "DKNY" didn't register as an acronym. So I picked it up and showed it to my mom.
"What's dick-knee?"
She nearly fell over laughing. We still call it dick-knee, too. But we mean it in the most affectionate way!

I'm LOVING that orange dress layered over the black long-sleeved tee.
I have issues with the French Connection t-shirts (FCUK). But "dick-nee" is much much funnier.
i'm in love with this collection, too, their campaigns are always styled just right. also, i thought O.P.I. nail polish was pronounced "oh-pee" for the longest time :)
I love the distribution of color and the lines. Everything looks so practical and versatile.

They have this line in Lucky's Sept issue, but in pink and kelly green with the greys. I LOVE it so much!
The only thing I've ever had from Donna Karan was a wool bodysuit in about 1990. Itchy!!!

I have DKNY sunglasses, which my friend gleefully exclaimed, "You have DINKY glasses!" Dick-nee is just as funny, though.
The new line is beautiful and very classic.
But I think that every time I see DKNY now, I will think "dick-knee"
I like thie year's DKNY too for the first time in a long time. I remember in the 1990s when it was well made and stylish, but it's been rather meh for the last 5-6 years or more . . .

Loooooove the DKNY fall collection, too. Unfortunately the wrapped and/or gathered tops don't work well on big-busted figures. I adore the simple lines and gorgeous colors, though.
