Sunday Shoes: Dansko wedges

Yes, yes, yes, you think I’m a loon. And you might be right.

So I bought a pair of Dansko Nylas several years ago, and they were my go-to shoes ALL SUMMER because they’re ideal for summer activities that require a both classy, feminine look AND lots of walking. A great merge of comfy and casual-chic. So I started hunting around for more of the same line, knowing that Dansko would discontinue them eventually.

This impressive array was amassed over two years through many online shops and eBay, and I am now sated … even though Dansko issued several more adorable styles in the series last year.

See how happy they made me last summer? I’m quite certain they’ll continue to do so in the coming months!

Somehow these practical shoes manage to look way more elegant than my recent foray into good shoes for walking. Maybe I need to go shopping with you.

You crack me up! But, I love it. I wish I had the forethought to buy more pairs of some of my shoes. I LOVE shoes! Have you ever counted yours? I’m afraid to count mine.

Both you and La Bella Figura are rocking the Dansko shoes. I need to explore these more. Off to zappos!

Dansko also makes great boots! I normally don't spend much on shoes but i spent $200 on a pair of almost knee-high dansko brown leather boots and it was really worth it. they still look great after 2 years of wear and are incredibly comfortable.

At the risk of starting an additional obsession, I'll mention that I've progressed from Dansko to Ariat (not just for cowgirls anymore). Solid walking shoes with embroidered details. I love their sandals, but clogs, mules, and boots also available.
(I find them at Schulers @ Southtown)

I’ve found that Aerosoles make wonderfully comfortable sandals. I just got a pair of strappy snakeskin wedges from them, very nice for walking.

On another note, I love the hat you’re wearing!

There’s nothing wrong with knowing what you love and going after it! You’re a lucky lady, having found the exact shoe model that caters to your needs.
BTW, I’m afraid to count’em too!

I got the Nylas in brown last month for $40 from 6pm…and now I am DYING that I didn’t get them in the two other colors, especially at that price.

Much better to buy multiples than to wear the one pair to death and then be distraught when they’ve worn out. This way the wear is stretched over several pairs, they all last longer, and your feet stay comfy!

Nothing weird about that.

Gorgeous hat! I’m thinking i’m going to be needing some very comfortable walking shoes this summer, looking for Dansko!

Ooo, Sal, you may be just the gal to answer this question for me. I have a pair of these very sandals. I love them, but have found that after a few minutes wearing 'em my feet slide so far forward that my toes are hanging off the front of the shoe. Any suggestions?
