Random Outfit Roundup: April

Dusty rose tank, Nine West via Marshalls
Oyster-white pants, Express via Turn Style
Grey Suede booties Nine West via 6pm.com
Rose-fastener sweater via a little shop in Hobart, Tasmania

This sweater is, hands down, my most beloved and prized piece of clothing. I bought it at a shop called Ruby Messiah in Hobart, Tasmania, almost exactly four years ago and knew upon purchase it it would likely be the prettiest thing I’d ever be lucky enough to own. I love it with these oyster-colored pants, but the pants themselves are tricky: light colored, and pretty long which means they must be worn on warm AND dry days only. And the sweater is so delicate that I only trot it out a couple of times a year. But when I do, kittens, it’s a good, good day. Nothing makes me feel more princessy than my gorgeous Tas sweater.

Crazy tribal necklace, thrifted at Abigail Page Antique Mall
Yellow sweater, Boden
Khaki skirt, Gap
Shoes, John Fluevog

I nabbed these shoes on eBay ages ago after a years-long hunt and yet this is their inaugural wearing. Shameful.

Red tunic top, thrifted at ARC’s Value Village
Levi’s skinnies via Urban Outfitters
Grey platform peeptoes Kenneth Cole Rocky Canyon
Hammered silver cuff from some store in Madison, WI

This tunic is a ban purchase from October that it’s been too cold to wear up till now. This was a Friday outfit, and my coworkers get SO MAD at me for not shlumping it up on Fridays. At least with this outfit I could point out that I was, in fact, wearing jeans.

Kudos to Husband Mike for suggesting the chunky silver bangle. He styles me more often than I care to admit. Also he is getting bored of my same tired pose, and told me to mix it up. So I’m leaning against the wall here. Which is why my head looks so tiny.

Sal, all three outfits look superb! However, I have to add that as a proud Aussie, my favourite is the one with the Tas sweater! What a brilliant buy…but hey, you Already knew that!

Love all three outfits, but that Tasmanian sweater is definitely my favorite! I’m already trying to figure out if I could knit something similar :)

All three of these are just gorgeous! I love the funky tribal feel of the one with those darling Fluevog shoes…and that sweater looks divine…but I might have to say that the tunic/jeans/peeptoes is my fave! So chic, comfy, and beautiful.

The first picture is one of the very best outfits I have seen on your blog! The sweater is great and the colors, all of them, are so flattering both to you and to each other! The sweater has these pluses: 1) you LOVE it and that shows! 2) is is very shapely plus 3) it is shapely without being structured ie it is a very light layer! and 4) the colar is like a portrait collar which is so very flattering to your face/smile/hair let loose…. LOVELY!

By the way, Mike does a good job accessorising you.
