I only bought these last year but I’m afraid I can’t remember the style name! They’re not made anymore and I’m SO glad that I snapped them up … in both black and brown.
I adore Danskos and own many pairs, but while some styles are all sleek modernity, others can get a bit clodhopperish. ALL Danskos, however, are comfy as can be, and these wedge booties are no exception. Plus I think I can safely put them in the sleek modernity camp.
They’re my go-to winter weekend shoes, as they look classic and subdued with pants, and give me all the height of a heel with the solid footing of a wedge. I also enjoy pairing them with leggings or tights … so long as I can drown out Husband Mike‘s shouts of “PIRATE!”

Oh that heel is perfect. High enough to give a little something but totally appropriate for snow and ice. It’s also perfect for jeans or skirt.

I am a slave to the Dansko clog – I have them in 6 different colors (blush). Anyway, I would love a wedge heel like that in a shoe. Danskos are a sure fire way to be comfy! The boots are smokin!

My days of heels are, for the most part, over. They’re just so uncomfortable and I prefer comfort over suffering for fashion. I will wear them on occasion but mostly I opt for comfie shoes like these.
The Dansko in all varieties is the “go-to shoe” as you put it, in Montana where I live. Maybe also in Minnesota? Is it something about climate? Recently at a meeting with a lot of Danskos, my mind was wandering and thinking it might be fun to take pictures of all the Danskos I see in a given day and post them.
Although I like a lot of the styles, this brand doesn’t work very well with my oddly high-arched foot. I love your boots though and would wear them if I could get them on.
